Facilities
The Shoulder
The Shoulder is temporarily located in beautiful Baldwin
County in Daphne, Alabama.  We are currently housed in
the  Alfred P. Brewer Mental Health Facility.

The Shoulder occupies approximately 30,000 square feet,
and has a capacity for approximately 20 residential clients
in each program.

Daphne is located between Mobile, AL and Pensacola,
FL. It is approximately a thirty minute drive from the scenic
beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. The historic park of the
U.S.S. Battleship Alabama is nearby as well.
Client Lounge
Clients can watch TV, play games, read
and relax during their off time in this
comfortable lounge.
Chapel and
Family Group
Family Group is held
every Wednesday night
at 6:00 p.m.
Spirituality Groups and
Chapel Services are
also held
in this room.
Client Room
Clients typically share a dorm-style
room with one roommate.
Each room has its own restroom.
Client Group
Discussion Room
This is where clients come together to learn about addiction,
discuss their problems,
and find solutions to the challenges of life.
Medical Clinic
The Shoulder has an
onsite clinic with a staff
Certified Nurse
Practitioner. Each client
receives a physical on
entry, and minor medical
issues can be taken care
of  within the facility.
Prayer Room
For prayer or quiet
spiritual reading,
The Shoulder has a
small prayer room.
Bibles are available
for each client free
of charge.
Clients may borrow
other spiritual
literature.
Computer Room
Clients can work on a computer to increase
their literacy, study for the GED,
or listen to books on CD.
Mealtime
The Shoulder has a cook on staff who fixes a good
home-cooked meal every night for our guys.
Clients are supplied three meals a day.
The Shoulder relies on
